I am a poet, dancer, and graphic designer (among other things). I was born in Israel a lifetime ago, but brought up in an industrial suburb of Manchester. I now live in Oxford where I earn my living by designing books and save my sanity by performing butoh – to the extent my eyesight allows the former and my knees the latter. I am a founder member of the dance collective Café Reason Butoh Dance Theatre, which seeks to express in movement the same ‘commitment to existence’ that my poetry does in words. This website is my attempt to present an overview of some of
my spheres of activity, professional and creative.
